The Best Guide for an Unforgettable Sri Lanka Journey

Simply the best ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kalinda is an excellent driver and guide. He was extremely kind, polite, and professional throughout the whole trip. To our new friend Sisira We have travelled with you for the last 15 amazing days. You looked after us just like we were your own family. It was our first time in Sri Lanka. Your country & culture is so different to ours, every person we came across was so kind, beautiful & they welcomed us & you with open hands. You have so many friends here. We had a great time with this company. Tours999 was extremely helpful beforehand with suggesting itineraries and making changes to our plan before arrival. Mahesh met us at the airport and thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge and advice regarding srilanka. Mahesh was always punctual, polite and friendly. Unfortunately we had to change our plans whilst in sigiriya due to my wife being ill, however mahesh was extremely understanding. Offered to arrange a doctor to visit, helped me at the pharmacy with translations and then sat with me whilst we revised the plan for once my wife felt better. An amazing experience in Sri Lanka :)
We had an absolutely amazing experience with Mahesh in Sri Lanka. From the very beginning, he was impeccable—professional, friendly, and always attentive to our needs. He gave us the best advice throughout the trip and made sure everything ran as smoothly, comfortably, and safely as possible. His knowledge of the country is truly impressive. He knew all the landmarks, shared valuable insights, and helped us discover places we might never have found on our own. Thanks to him, our journey felt much richer and more meaningful. He is also very funny and has such a young spirit, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and fun. Even after our tour had ended, he remained incredibly available and supportive, especially when we faced travel complications due to the Middle East conflict. That level of care goes far beyond expectations :) We couldn’t recommend him more highly. When we return to Sri Lanka, we will definitely look forward to meeting him again! Mahesh Made Our Sri Lanka Trip Truly Unforgettable
Our trip to Sri Lanka left us with wonderful memories. The country itself is incredibly beautiful, but what impressed us even more were the people. In particular, our driver and guide Mahesh made a lasting impression on us. One moment that really showed Mahesh’s character happened during our visit to Dambulla Caves. On the way down, my friend realized she had lost her expensive sunglasses. The mountain is quite steep, but Mahesh immediately went back up to help search. After asking several people along the way, he eventually found that a Russian family had picked them up and was able to get the sunglasses back for her. Later we learned that Mahesh had previously suffered a serious leg injury, which made us appreciate his effort even more. When my friend tried to give him a tip to thank him for sunglasses, he politely refused. He said helping us was simply the right thing to do. Another moment that touched us was when we were climbing Pidurangala Rock to watch sunset with Sigiriya( Lion Rock). It was very crowded and there was a narrow and steep section where people had difficulty passing. Mahesh stayed there for quite a longtime helping everyone go up and down safely and keeping the line moving. Throughout the trip, Mahesh was also incredibly helpful and flexible. Our itinerary changed several times — we canceled some places and added others, and upgraded our hotels — and he patiently helped coordinate everything. He even went early to stand in line to buy our train tickets to Ella. During the drives he shared stories, taught us some local words, introduced us to Sri Lankan fruits and culture, and often stopped at beautiful spots so we could take photos. Because of him, the journey was not only educational but also full of laughter and very enjoyable. After we left Sri Lanka, I realized my sunglasses were missing. Later Mahesh checked his car and found them — they had probably fallen behind the back seat while I was dozing off. I asked if he could help send them back to me, and he kindly agreed. Those glasses carry many memories from the trip, so I truly appreciate his help. Sri Lanka has faced many challenges in recent years, but it is clearly moving forward step by step. Through Mahesh, we saw the honesty, kindness, optimism, and hard work of the younger generation. Meeting people like him makes us believe this beautiful country will continue to get better. We had the pleasure of travelling with Mahesh as our driver in Sri Lanka and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He was absolutely wonderful with our little daughter, who grew very fond of him during the trip.
